On Materials & Ethics

The materials referenced throughout this site are chosen for their capacity to support seasonal living — physically, ecologically, and relationally. We prioritize regenerative agriculture practices, organically grown goods, natural fibers, artisan-crafted pieces, and mindfully sourced tools with thoughtful production practices, and companies that demonstrate care for both people and land.

Objects are not treated here as status symbols, but as functional supports for the body and nervous system. Nourishment, warmth, comfort, and utility are understood as foundational needs, not indulgences.

When specific brands are mentioned, they reflect personal use or long-standing trust. Some links may be affiliate links, offered as references. Their presence does not influence editorial content, and inclusion is never intended to suggest that these items are necessary or universally accessible.

Whenever possible, we encourage reuse, repair, and sourcing through secondhand or local channels. Seasonal living is not about perfection or accumulation, but about care, restraint, and responsiveness to what is already present.
